If you want to go somewhere more adventurous, Millennium Park offers great views and fresh air outdoors on the many hiking trails or on a boat on the lake.
Michigan’s Adventure
If you want to be spoiled for entertainment choices, you must drop by the largest amusement park in the whole of Michigan. Michigan’s Adventure boasts as many as 52 rides inside, so you can have your fill of exciting rides and games.
You can have a fun, relaxing time at the petting zoo, or you can get aboard the Shivering Timbers, the longest and fastest wooden roller coaster in all of Michigan! Whichever adventure you choose, it’s bound to be a whole lot of fun!
Rockport State Park
The Rockport State Recreation in Rogers City is Michigan's 100th recognized state park. It’s perfect for outdoor activities like hiking and boating in the lake, but what sets it apart is that it’s also well-known for fossils.
You can have a fun and educational day out in Rockport State Park, just make sure to wear plenty of sunscreen, wear solid, comfortable walking shoes, and keep bug spray handy as you go out and about.
Detroit
Looking to satisfy your urban cravings instead? Then head over to Detroit. This city is as major as it can get, with plenty of dining and shopping options that will complete your vacation. Otherwise known as the “Motor City,” you can also get a glimpse of a slice of American automotive history at The Henry Ford Museum.
