10 Things You Should Be Shredding5/24/2018

Shred Day Graphic

It is ever important to keep your personal information secure and to dispose of it properly. Even items that have been cut into multiple pieces and tossed into the garbage have been gathered and reassembled by ill-intentioned criminals. OUR Credit Union is dedicated to helping you protect your identity and your privacy. We invite you to join us at our annual Shred Day on Saturday, June 2nd, 2018!

Be sure to prepare for Shred Day well in advance to ensure important documents are not missed.

These are some items that should be shredded after they are no longer needed:

  • ATM Receipts
  • Bank Statements
  • Canceled and voided checks
  • Offers of credit
  • Credit Reports and histories
  • Documents relating to investments
  • Expired passports and visas
  • Employee pay stubs
  • Medical records
  • Tax forms

All items to be disposed at Shred Day must be free of metal and other debris, including staples and paper clips. Disposal of electronics are not accepted.

We’ll see you at Shred Day!
